Gone From My Sight
I am standing on the seashore,
a ship by my side spreads her white wings
to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean.
She is an object of beauty and strength.
I stand and watch her until at length she hangs
like a speck of white cloud just where the sea
and sky come to mingle with each other.
Then someone at my side says; 'There, she is gone!'
'Gone Where?'

Gone from my sight.
That is all.
She is just as large in mast and hull and spar
as she was when she left my side
and she is just as able to bear her load of living freight
 to her destined port...my heart.
Her diminished size is in me, not in her.
And just at the moment when someone at my side says;
'There, she is gone!'

There are other eyes at the rainbow bridge
watching her coming,
and those voices ready to take up the glad shout;
'Here she comes!'
And that is dying.

'Keeper' was poetry in motion.
She danced away with Winners bitch, for a 5 point major at the
Red Deer & District Kennel Club Booster, April 1995.
'Keeper' turned heads and the judge gave
a smile and nod giving her Best Of Opposite over Specials
at the Lethbridge Booster show July 5 1997.
'Keeper" obtained her championship
by taking Winners Female from the Bred by Exhibitor Class,
defeating Quality competition.

'Keeper, an
'Echo' baby fulfilled our dreams
by passing on to her offspring qualities
that breeders only dream about.

Besides the famous Echo View Temperament,
Keeper possessed the proper side movement
and is correct coming and going.
Deep muscular chest with the proper layback,

excellent length of neck,
level topline with a slight arch over the loin area
and the tail set comes straight off the back.
Keeper's rear is strong and powerful,
driving her forward like two pistons
with so very little effort on her part.
A beautiful head piece is her crowing glory.
